Hold on! Hold on! Wait a sec. Don’t leave me now! I’ve been working to get this right for me and you know what? Today we got it. It’s gonna be great. My day started off not cool but ended up exciting!
Blocks clustered and blocks on point with cheddar. Nope.

Blocks with a blue. We thought this set the blocks off nicely but didn’t pass. Close though and got me digging in my stash since I’m not buying for this dangit.
And then lord look below what I found! 3.5 yds of a neutral tan. Right there exactly what I need. (I notice when my home is giving.)
The tan is great but you know what? It’s all that space. Beautiful for some great quilting and that was my plan but it doesn’t feel right. Then Terri suggested below. I am in love love love with it. This is the one. She did the mock up and I immediately fell in love with it.
This is a quilt you can get into! Thanks, Terri. I’m so super psyched!!!
So I’ve got like 8 more blocks to make. My setting will be 30 blocks 6×5. This works out great because I already have the fabric pulled for more blocks. Better planning. That was a tip from a friend. We do this thing together, don’t we? *karendianne.

Perfect! So great to have help from friends!!!
Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together…….f-i-n-a-l-l-y!!! I think you are on the right track and I must say this is a WONDERFUL block!! I.LIKE.
There’s just no substitute for the mockup, is there? I know it took loads of energy to set up these photos, but the best setting option is so obvious when you see them all together. Now get back to those blocks!
Fantastic!!
Perfect setting and the fabric is spot on! Don’t you just love it when everything finally comes together?
I do like the sashing with cornerstones (and using different fabrics for the cornerstones). The blocks are beautiful and I know the finished quilt will be as well. Have a great day!!
Luv the final setting. Liked the cheddar too, but think this is better.
I am soooo not helpful! I like all the versions!
You’re almost getting a” girl with kaleidoscope eyes” kind of look…love it!
SO cool . . . yes, yes, yes!!!!!!!
I love the way your mind works! You have come up with a great design—AGAIN.
Just the right thing – the cornerstones are perfect – I’d never thought to use different colored ones – what a smarty you are.
Really like the scrappy cornerstones! Very nice…
Yup, you got it! This is almost my favorite quilt of yours and it isn’t even finished yet!
Ahhh, much more pleasing to my eyes……sorry cheddar…..
I love seeing your process here and you are absolutely right – that is a winner!
Perfect!
Really wonderful!
Hugs – Lurline!
I love to see your process – glad you’re happy – they look fabulous!
Outstanding! I love the tan setting but I also love the suggested setting. Glad I didn’t have to make that decision!!!
Oh, yes! That IS it!!! Woooo hooooo! I know you’re doing a happy dance…
OMG You have been so busy – I love those blocks – and yes my friend, I love the placement too
Your carpenter wheel blocks are gorgeous
Oh my – yes, that’s it! As that song from ‘My Fair Lady’ says – “by George, I think she’s got it!”
I like it too. Going to be a fantastic quilt.
Oh, yes! GO Terri!
I do love that last setting when I look at it! I can’t wait to see the real thing and not just the mock-up version! :0)
