At a distance. When I first noticed the circular secondary pattern you know I got all happy and could hardly contain myself. You probably know all about stumbling upon a secondary pattern, ha? My friend Susan loves to hunt for those. Do you?
You know once I found this, I habitually walked by the room and peeked in and peeked in and peeked in until bedtime. I woke up and I’m like “Oh my god! This is so neat!” Then I walked over to the Wall and let my fingers touch the whole thing. I’m swept off my feet. In Love!
I didn’t have any idea I was going to see this 2ndary pattern. I’m not like Susan. I don’t look. If I knew this was going to happen, I might have actually planned my fabrics.
Up close maybe you can see the circular pattern a bit more. Isn’t it neat? So, I didn’t plan my fabrics, I’m working on more blocks and it’s just gonna be what it’s gonna be. We talked about that though and it’s still fine. Shucks, it’s rockin’ cool.
But come on, can’t you just see your favorite couple of colors pieced and magically developing that 2ndary pattern? Whew! I can. I’m not going to stop the presses to make that happen but I’m just sayin’….
Kanga tossing her head back, refusing to move!
…abusing me.
Because around here the chairs are for the cats and I sit on the floor. No! That’s not true but they do have their own chairs. Kipling and Kanga both like to hide underneath when it’s not froze-half-to-death winter weather.
Tomorrow is Saturday and that means Klosjes day! I’m definitely in. Are you in?

I'm loving the secondary pattern! And I like it scrappy too!
I generally don't look or see a secondary pattern until the quilt top is done!
I am most definately a fan of secondary patters – its why I usually do not use sashing.
I have just started my Alabama Beauties – using Kaffe Fassetts and batiks – I haven't even finished one test block yet – it's my first venture into curved piecing and I'm all thumbs at this point.
Yours are GORGEOUS – isn't that secondary circular pattern great! I've added you to my blogroll so I can keep up with your progress. You're an inspiration.
That's a neat surprise!
I love the circles…all I could think of was crop circles!! Hmmm, this insomnia has to stop….
I do see the secondary pattern – it's mesmerizing isn't it?
As for Miss Kute-arrific, let me say I wouldn't expect any other type of behavior! You wouldn't dare to disturb the Queen, would you? Hee!!
I had to go in search of the Klosjes phenom, and it's wonderful! One more thing to add to my quilty to-do list! Thanks….I think!
Another beautiful quilt started and hanging on that design board. Wow, you are something else, girl!!
Jippie! So nice having you join us on Klosjes Saturdays!
Can't wait to see more of them and the colours are gorgeous!
And I truly LOOOOOVE your Alabama Beauties! The secondary pattern is gorgeous, and as I was trying to find it again, I saw a third!
So nice to meet you, too! I will be visiting you very often and get to know you as we take this Klosjes-journey together!
Valentina from Cyprus
Another who loves secondary patterns! Yours is really neat.
Those blocks get better each time I see them and I love the secondary pattern. It is going to be stunning when its finished. My pets all have their own spots they like to sleep. Occasionally though, Milo tries to steal a snooze in Max's basket and they end up having a huge fight.
Klosjes day has almost finished here in Australia and I managed to make 5. You are going to love making them. They are so much fun!
I don't know about two colors but I think it's going to look great with the scrappy ones you're using.
I love the secondary patterns we can get sometimes, and I often do set out looking for them.
Kanga looks lovely and confortable and no, I am not joining Klosjes day – I was tempted, but I've got too much else going on at the moment. On the other hand, I could do some in the evenings…………
Oh, my!! That secondary pattern is fabulous, fantastic, gorgeous!! Now you've got me thinking. Oh, my — what fun could be had with that using some Kaffe prints and batiks. Uh oh….
I'm definitely joining in on the Klosjes day. Love those little spool blocks.
The cats have their own chairs! Ha ha ha — around here we have to wait our turn to use the sofa or chairs! Your kitties are clearly better trained than the boys!
I can't believe I couldn't find them in the smaller foto, then when seeing the closer version it jumped right out at me! How much fun, it's like getting another gift in a gift! Too cool.
Love that secondary pattern.. Those circles are beautiful. I love this and can't wait to see more…..
Fabulous secondary pattern! It rocks!
I love secondary patterns and when they are unexpected they are even better!
Love, love, love 'em! Stop tho — you're making me want to make them too! Nooooo……la, la, la…..I can't hear you……..
Cool . . . very, very cool. Love secondary patterns.
I couldn't see the circle at first until I saw the close-up and what a delightful surprise!! Love it!!!
Wow, I love the circle effect! I can't wait to see more. Karmen
