Cheddar Cheese & Crackers Test Block

Minding my own business.  Reading Kathie, following her thought process (may be where I went off the reservation) and before I knew it I was doing a test block of Cheddar Cheese & Crackers at Lori’s Blog.  Very humbly I spent every ounce of quilting energy I had with Humble Quilts.

This is a Doll Quilt- Quilt along and the block finishes at 4.5″ in case you want to join in.  It’s totally cool to see the original this quilt is based on.  That’s on Lori’s Blog, too.  I spent some time there, I tell ya.

Kanga does NOT want you to see these blocks anymore.  I spent way too much time on these today.

But this block was darn fun and I had to pull and cut more fabric so, ya know…

  1. What a fun, cute little block that is going to make a fun, cute little quilt. I am resisting the cheese and crackers. Oh my I have enough going on here. Kanga cracks me up–look at the look on that face! Wouldn't want to run into her in a dark alley!!!

  2. Cute block – the name of it makes me hungry! Isn't it fun to go down a bloggy trail and find something wonderful to ignite your creativity? Yep! Miss Kute-arrific is just jealous she can't make one, too!

  3. It looks great Karen!
I've just been thinking about doing it…I have some cheddar!
I think Kanga is feeling a little left out ….the look on his face!,

  4. I was able–just barely–to resist the pull of that cheddar. The fact that in my house I have no actual cheddar that isn't cheese probably contributed to that ability…Have fun with the quilt along, Lori's doing a great job with her instructions and it'll be wonderful to see how yours turns out!

  5. Karen Dee, it looks like Kanga want you to make her the quilt and do not want to share. I agree with Kanga, the quilt will be too pretty to share. But thank you for sharing the link…I saw a blue and yellow Crackers and Cheese quilt before and it was beautiful.
Happy New Year to you and may this be a good and healhy new 2010!
    Hugs,
    Millie
