Cute little block I made today. I’ve got her shipmate on the ironing board, prepped and ready. I love what’s inside, in the center. Nothing like little nine patches. Comforting, like a nice cuppa coffee.
A little update on Belle Meade. Used those stitching lines and boy, they’re for me. Plus they double as a shredder for Katie. This only lasted for about 5 minutes but shucks, who isn’t in for 5 minutes of fun?

They’re so cute but always locking me in. You’d think they’d get tired of having to move. They don’t.
This drug has me a little “on-tilt” so I’m keeping busy. I made it to the grocery store, worked on some blocks, did laundry which is always just fun ’till the cows come home, went out with the dogs since it was cool enough and it’s just 5pm now. Pretty good day for being “on-tilt.” Except it looks like it’s taken me 2 hours to get this post done. Great. Now you can see the degree of my tiltness! Well, I refuse to be embarrassed by it. I have some funky business working on the inner sanctum of my Brain. Who wouldn’t be a little “on-tilt” for goodness sakes? I still think I’m kinda cool. Mostly.

Very nice block, Karen! I'm so happy you like the stitching lines as much as I do! I also like how they have a dual purpose – LOL!
Cheers!
Karen Dee, I feel like taking a nap like the Canine Quilters…can I join them too? Nine patch blocks are always putting a smile on my face. Like the tilted block too.
Just keep on keepin' on, Girlfriend. You rock
Hope you are Ok, tilted. I love your company, and your brightly colored parot. Your block is very pretty with the nine in the middle!
I hate folding laundry! It seems endless and it feels like it multiples while I sleep.
Nine patches are so comfy. They are favorite sweater comfy, old shoes comfy, definitely always put me in a good state of mind.
Cool …. you are! Love the new block and what great floor friends you have! What is that embroidered block on the left? Looks interesting!
Of course your cool Karen!
I think a lot of us are in love with those nine patch blocks.
And still smiling and working through and rockin' out. That's so you! So Karen Dianne.
You KNOW you are cool!!! C'mon…really…not just kinda.
Love all of your progress too! And just who's keeping track of time, anyway? That's the fun part of being over 40. We're adults now…we can take as long as we darn well please to do something!!!
On top of the hill hugs….
I am AMAZED at what you accomplish when you're a bit 'tilted'! The new block is warm and wonderful, and Belle Meade is going to be gorgeous!
I think a dog's job is to be underfoot CONSTANTLY – it makes them feel needed. Hee….. When I'm in the kitchen, I always have 3 'chefs' with me, watching my every move, and totally in the way!
May today be an awesome one for you, tilted or not!
I have always said that the 9patch is my favorite block. A bit more difficult than a 4patch but still simple. Thanks for the heads up on the Stitching Lines. I've never seen that product before.
Woww, if that's what you achieve when tilted………
So what if the post took 2 hours? We're not gonna tell on you.
Stay cool.
Yeah very cool Karen..
Love that block with the nine patch centre..
Julia ♥
Hhhmmmm, “on-tilt” I think that might describe me more often than not. Glad to hear you're at least getting things done. Wish I could say the same.
Hang 10 in there and worry not about being out and about. Your beauty will stun them away from looking at your walk.
Headed for chemist yesterday and did a bit of a shuffle through Safeway myself….but made it..
I have a close MS friend, so some of what you say resonates with her walk, she is a super prolific quilter and manages to push herself far harder than I do…but I remind myself we are all blessedly individual…and we do best what is on our own page for the day.
Have a cat that patterns itself on those dogs….she does eventually move when almost trodden on.
Hugs
Amazing cool as a matter of fact and for the congressional record. And as for tiltedness. My family gave up on me years ago and I'm not even on drugs. I live a full tilt, head on, and wouldn't walk the straight and narrow normal path for nothing. You lean right, I'll lean left and off we'll go…arm in arm, hand in hand, hearts connected and our brains…oh what the heck…who cares! Love your little block! She's darling and so are you! ps. I don't know if you noticed but those canine quilters are not holding up their end of the arrangement. So, are they just bean bags and not really dogs?
I'm picking up bad habits reading blogs from you girls in the US – I'm kinda this and kinda that – but, that's okay – and you are cool!Love your design wall and the way you potter about!
Hugs – Lurline♥
Super cool!!!
LOVE the Belle Meade.. YUMMMMMM!!!
ps.. It's 45 and rainy and windy…
Extra cool…
Definitely cool, not kinda!
I love that block with the 9-patch centre!
And you know I'm mad about your Belle Meade. Oh, how I love those fabrics!!
I'm frequently penned in by the Smudge & Lester. They love to try to block a doorway.
Thanks for the mention of Stitching Lines. I think you are “kinda cool” also!
Yep, stay cool! Do what you can and don't worry about the rest. I love your 9-patch star block.
I'm still sore enough that I'm having hubby do the laundry and the vacuuming. He thinks I'm faking it to get out of those chores. But really I'm not. I just flash him, show him the stitches still healing and he shuts up.
On tilt ~ oh, yeah ~ here's to that state of being!
Glad you were able to get stuff done, no matter the angular trajectory.
You are cool, not just kinda. I take my cues from my cat. Whenever I've had enough, I take a nap. It takes the tiltiness out of things. I love your new block. Nine patches are always great! Those pups of yours are certainly keeping an eye on you.
I think you are very cool – and not just kinda!! I love the center of that block.
Little Ben is doing much better – went to the doctor and got meds for ear infection. He told his mommy, I don't really want to go in there, I'm sad. But he went anyway and told the doctor about a tv show he had watched (Handy Manny) and the tools on the show.
