Connecting

Tempting to critique. Lovely, dainty, pretty and sweet. What about that center white floral? It made me smile. I’m pleased with today’s batch (more variety, not shown here).

They’re more controlled. Not nearly the severe spectacular scrappiness of the other blocks. Iron. Making a mental note. What a sight.

Nothing that can’t be fixed. As if we didn’t have other happenings to tend to.

The week planned. The IV infusion is was Thursday. Early morning we had to move it up to tomorrow. *Kink* Fortunately for me after I was ill, I wasn’t just being “The Kitchen Quilter” or “The Library Quilter”. I was gettin’ it together. Over the past weekish the house was stocked on needed provisions except 1 thing. We’ll live. Last minute date changes ~ you get it. Manageable, but you get it.
~~~
In between, I was sewing and tending to some of the other chores. Lots of quiet in the house today. Lots of getting my “head on straight” stuff, which is really another way for me to express connecting with the Divine. Not only that but also awareness of thought. Noticing what’s rolling through my mind. What sort of little thought viruses are spreading around because those needed to go. We’re making room for something healing that brain tomorrow.
Connecting and focusing isn’t a bad way to spend the day…
Thank you for visiting and connecting!
  1. I like the idea of connecting…seems like it takes me a day to stop thinking about work things and relax, just let myself be infused, let the barriers down. Worry is a killer, it seems, for me.
  2. I do like the softness of the first one. Hope you get through the week and have better days soon. Chronic illness can be so lonely and isolating at times and when you're feeling bad it can color how you see everything, blocking out the light. It's good take time to tend your spirit:)
  3. I know you'll get through tomorrow Karen! Sophie and I are sending good, good vibes. Oh – and your nine patches are so absolutely perfect and pretty and dainty – not a thing needs fixing there!
    Cheers!
  4. May all go well for you today – serene, healing thoughts are on their way to you.
    The blocks are truly lovely – soft and warm.
    Interesting how you spent your day – I spent yesterday doing the same thing. I was outside working in the flowerbeds, listening to the birds sing and the squirrels chatter, and contemplating how wonderful life is, and how lucky I am to participate in it. It is truly an amazing feeling!
    All will be well for you, my friend.
  5. Thought viruses — I like that term. I had some of my own going on last night but today was a better day.
    Fingers crossed that the medication side effects won't be too bad….
  6. I love the way you spent your day. I am praying for a healing experience with the procedure. I will be thinking of you. I promise.
  7. Thanks for pulling me out of my funk! Your posts always ground me and then lift me up and out there! Hang in there Karen! Sending you love, prayers, support, meditation, good energy. Hey if I've got it it's hurling it's way towards you through the great universe.
  8. Connecting is a very good thing, as is being grounded. I will be thinking of you lots tomorrow and the kitties will be sending cyber kitty hugs!
    And you know I love those blocks! They make me want to put aside what I'm working on and do some really soft 9-patch blocks too!
  9. Connecting with ourselves, others and a higher power is a good thing. Sending you lots of good connecting thoughts for tomorrow. Your blocks look nice and calming!
  10. We all need to stop and connect – with ourselves, with those who care about us, and with our higher power… sadly, we tend to get busy and forget that being grounded makes the chaos easier to deal with.
    Best wishes to you as you continue on your journey!
    HUGS!!!
