This was my project yesterday. A scrappy basket base. I also took some time to make more Hourglass blocks for what was once “House Divided” but is fast becoming an Hourglass quilt. Not up for all that sashing work. I have some special fabrics I’ve been saving for this period in time. Susan (my friend from the quilt shop) helped me pick them out so watch for something. Today I’ll be sewing away the day…

Have you made these baskets before? I JUST ordered the directions for this, plus two packs of cotton clothesline, to make a big floor basket to corral and contain Hannes’ toys in the studio. Maybe I should start small for my first one? Nah…
