To live in the moment is to appreciate the beauty of a flower, among other things. A gift from God that feeds all of nature – body and soul. Always, as we all know, moments such as these must be savored, cuddled, adored and shared. But most importantly moments like this are revered as they bring us into the “now” of life. Be here now. Yes Virginia, there is a Fabric Faerie. God is abundant! Its incredible but have faith because fabric really does grown on trees.

Alright, so I’ve been holding out on you. Wisely I held out on you about this fabric because I didn’t want to say anything until it was “cake in hand.” Well the cake is in hand my friends, the cake is IN HAND!

During the Bonnie Blue Class with Paula Barnes I had some time to talk with her one-on-one about a variety of things. She pointed to a pattern that she particularly liked and said she’d really like to see this “…in all florals.” I listened, related and mentioned that yes, that would be neat. This pattern had to be fun. Just looking at it you can tell its got everything in it I’d dig. Flying Geese, HST’s, Nine patches with individual squares allowing for variety of fabric placement and such. Uh YA! I mentioned I never worked with florals, I have zilch in that department so Gloria (the owner of my LQS) took me around showing me fabrics that might work and we were well on our way to possibly making this happen. Until I realized it needed 60 fqs! Are you kidding me? Forget it.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
No don’t. Gloria asked if I’d be willing to make the quilt in florals as a display quilt for the Shop she’d pay for the fabrics and quilting. After its displayed I get it back – Free of Charge! Of course I said “Are you kidding? I’d be honored!”
