I’m so excited with how these turned out. I already shared the fun I had in making these however I’d like to reiterate that working with little scraps of fabric with frayed, uneven edges is a challenge. Working with such small pieces in this state made it near impossible to stretch/fudge the fabric. In limiting myself there I had an interesting if not challenging time sewing the tan tone-on-tone pieces.
Later I plan to start pulling different Kansas Troubles fabric for more center piecing. I imagine I’ll start cutting tomorrow and maybe some sewing if I can knock out all my chores.
I would say today was a good day considering how it began.
There are four types of Trash that I can think of. We have the Dump Run, Dumpster Ditching, Trash Night and Trash Morning. I had a Trash Morning.
Dump Run – you live in Oregon on a real Ranch and you dont have trash service so you have to haul it to the dump in town by yourself with no help from your husband because he’s busy with man chores.
Dumpster Ditching – that’s for apartment dwellers. They ditch their trash in the dumpster unless they have a paid service.
Trash Night – you clean out the fridge and collect all the trash in your house the evening before Trash Day. Then you schelp it to either the curb, the road or the highway depending on how far you need to go.
Trash Morning – you wake up and realize – in bed – Holy Hefty-Trash-Bags Batman! we forgot the trash men are coming…and soon!!! In this situation only the urgent trash makes it to the curb, the road or the highway and depending upon how far you must schelp lets hope you’re covered up enough to make it there and back to house unseen.
I had a Trash Morning. Only the catshit made it out. Well that and some of last weeks trash already out in the cans but not one single receptical in the house was emptied and the fridge didn’t get cleaned out. That doesn’t happen on a Trash Morning, does it? Only on a Trash Night.
And I just had my bangs cut so when I got out with the catshit and the trash I looked like a rooster or I looked like I had one too many the night before.
A little trashy Love, *karendianne.

  1. Talking Trash, again???Too darn funny… The bangs crack me up!!So, speaking of trash talk, it’s that time again… As AA recommended, I should take the trash when the cans are full… Well, they have been full for over a month! HA! It’s gonna be getting real trashy over here at Ranch Headquarters!

  2. You had to go and ruin it with the snake visual, didn’t you! And of course you’d latch onto my funky bangs. Anything for a laugh at my expense. I get it. I know how you are you trashy hooker you!

  3. I love the blocks and the lovely path they make for the snake to find his way through the garden!!I cant seem to get the trash bag hair bangs straight up picture out of my mind!!!
